Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Replica

The Ferrari Daytona is considered by many to be the definitive front engined sports car. In spyder configuration (GTS), this is a great looking car, whether stationary or on the move.

At the launch of the Berlinetta (GTB) in 1968 the motoring press were bemused that Ferrari's answer to the Lamborghini mid engined Miura was the front engined Daytona.  

However, when the motoring hacks finally got their hands on the car they recorded a 0-60mph in 5.9 secs and a top speed of 173 mph. It was the fastest road car they had tested and faster in every way than the Miura. This was the start of the Daytona legend.

In the late 1980's with prices for Ferraris going crazy, the Daytona and especially the 365 GTS/4 spyder were exchanging hands for huge amounts of money. It was in this climate of desirability and high prices that the replica companies set to work to recreate a legend.

One of the most successful manufactures was Southern Roadcraft and this site is dedicated to the SRV12.
